SwiftKick is operated by Gallantree Group Pty Ltd (ABN 40 644 812 617) and its related bodies corporate (together, “SwiftKick”, “Gallantree”, “we”, “us” or “our”). We are committed to protecting the privacy of personal information we collect. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Additional rights and obligations apply if you access SwiftKick from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or California — see the dedicated sections below.

Personal information we collect

The types of personal information we may collect include:

• account details such as your name, display name, email address and password;
• profile details you choose to add, such as a favourite team or avatar;
• the tips, comments and reactions you submit, and the comps, leagues and channels you join;
• workplace integration data, such as the Slack or Microsoft Teams workspace, channel identifiers and user identifiers required to deliver reminders and post results;
• billing information for paid plans, handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers); and
• technical information collected automatically when you use this website, such as IP address, device type, browser and pages viewed.

How we collect information

We collect personal information directly from you when you create an account, submit tips, contact us, complete a form on this website, or connect a Slack or Microsoft Teams workspace. We may also collect information from third parties such as identity providers (where you sign in with a social or workplace account), payment processors, sports data providers and our service providers.

How we use personal information

We use personal information to operate your account and comps, deliver reminders and results to your group chat, generate ladders and statistics, respond to enquiries, provide customer support, send service communications, process payments for paid plans, maintain the security and integrity of the service, comply with legal obligations, and improve the website and our products. We may use aggregated, de-identified tipping statistics in editorial content (for example, “62% of tippers picked Storm”).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with gambling operators for marketing purposes.

Disclosure of personal information

We may disclose personal information to our related bodies corporate, service providers (including hosting, email, payment, analytics, customer support and technology providers), regulators and law enforcement agencies, and other parties where required or authorised by law. Some recipients may be located overseas, including in jurisdictions where data protection laws differ from those in Australia.

UK and EU users (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)

If you access SwiftKick from the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies in addition to our obligations under Australian law.

• Controller: Gallantree Group Pty Ltd, ABN 40 644 812 617, is the data controller of personal information collected through SwiftKick.
• Lawful bases: we process your personal information on the basis of (a) contract — to deliver the service you sign up for; (b) legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the service in ways you would reasonably expect; (c) consent — for non-essential cookies and optional marketing communications; and (d) legal obligation — where we have to retain or disclose information to comply with law.
• International transfers: some of our service providers are located outside the UK / EEA, including in Australia and the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, plus supplementary measures (encryption in transit, restricted access).
• Your rights: you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, port your data, and complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@gallantree.com.au. We respond within one month under the UK GDPR / EU GDPR.
• Supervisory authority: if you are in the UK you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). If you are in the EEA you may complain to your local data protection authority.
• Retention: we keep account information for the lifetime of your SwiftKick account plus seven years for taxation and dispute-resolution purposes; analytics data is retained for up to 26 months in aggregated form.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively the “CCPA”), gives you additional rights in respect of your personal information.

• We do not sell or share your personal information. SwiftKick does not sell personal information as defined in the CCPA and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Analytics cookies are loaded only with your explicit opt-in via the cookie banner.
• Categories collected: identifiers (name, email, IP address), commercial information (subscription and billing data), internet activity (pages viewed, tips submitted, comp interactions), and inferences drawn from this data to personalise the service.
• Sources: directly from you, from your browser/device when you use SwiftKick, and from third-party service providers (identity, payment, analytics, sports data).
• Purposes: operating your account and comps, sending service communications, processing payments, securing the service, complying with law, and (with consent) measuring aggregate site usage.
• Your rights: the right to know what we collect, the right to delete personal information we hold about you, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of any future sale or sharing, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
• How to exercise rights: email privacy@gallantree.com.au from the email address associated with your account, or contact us through the form at /contact. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within 45 days as required by the CCPA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
• Authorised agents: you may designate an authorised agent to act on your behalf. We will require written proof of the authorisation and may verify the request directly with you before acting.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, keep you signed in, and measure performance. We use essential cookies and self-hosted product analytics; we do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include physical, technical and administrative safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and regular review of our systems. No electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, by contacting our Privacy Officer at the address below. You can also update most account details directly from your SwiftKick settings.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact our Privacy Officer. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
